The Ashanti Regional Chairman of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr. Bernard Antwi Boasiako popularly referred to as Chairman “Wontumi” has replied his critics who are demanding his resignation as the Ashanti Regional Chairman of NPP.
Before this year’s general elections, Chairman Wontumi pledged to resign from his position as regional chairman if he fails to win all the 47 parliamentary seats in Ashanti Region for the NPP.
At the end of the election, NPP won 42 out of the 47 seats and people are calling on the regional chairman to fulfill his promise.
The Ashanti Regional Chairman of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr. Bernard Antwi Boasiako on his radio stations said he will not accept what they are saying.
“You can’t tell me to resign, I won’t resign and I will remain at the post”.
It was after a group who many say were supporters of NDC asked Chairman Wontumi to resign over his failed promise.
