Yaa Asantewaa Old Girls- ADEHYE3 2003 has put up a 12-seater flush toilet facility for house 8 of their alma mater.
An estimated amount GHs 300,000 was spent on the construction of facility under a project dubbed: “Legacy Project”.
It was commissioned and handed over to authorities of the school on 11th November, 2023.
Speaking to the media, Project Lead, Henrietta Osei Tutu said the move is aimed at addressing the challenge of inadequate toilet facilities faced by students.
Members of the year group according to her have a future plan of expanding the facility into an 18-seater to accommodate the student population of 800 in the house.
She therefore called on individuals and institutions to offer them financial support to make the aforementioned a reality.
President for the Adehyie 2003, Erica Edem said the year group is poised at giving back to their Almamata by continuing from where previous year groups ended.
The school according to her is what has made them who are they are today.
Ahead of the commissioning was a colorful engagement session with students and a presentation of awards to teaching and non-teaching staff of the school who contributed to the success of the old students.
