Fumigation of churches across Asokore Mampong Municipality was in a full swing today 5th June 2020; a fulfilment of the MCE’s pledge (ensuring that Christian denominations are insulated against the silent-killer disease Covid-19).
The workaholic MCE Hon Alidu Seidu on Wednesday 3rd June 2020 engaged the leadership of the various churches and mosques and informed them about arrangements made by the assembly to disinfect all centers of worship.
The first phase took effect on Thursday; fumigation of the Kumasi Central mosque, Daryl Hadith mosque, Mallam Dudu mosque, Asokore mampong mosque, Sakafia mosque etcetera.
True to his word, disinfection of a litany of Churches materialised today as sanitation personnel from the assembly equipped with spraying machines visited a number of churches to carry out the exercise.
Same will be carried out tomorrow Saturday so as to prepare churches for Sunday worship.
The unflagging local government official Hon Alhaji Alidu Seidu told leakynews.net in an exclusive dialogue that his commitment towards the fight against the deadly virus still remains indefatigable and that all measure needed to safeguard residents have been set in motion.
He brought to notice that, effective monitoring will be carried out so as to ensure compliance to all safety protocols.
