Hello my darling, welcome here. Today, we are going to take a walk through a very interesting topic that’s very common .
Please don’t forget to share, like, and follow me after reading this article. Without any delay, let’s get started.
So if you have ever been in a situation where you felt like someone was ‘pressing’ you while sleeping, such that you couldn’t talk, call for assistance, move your hands, legs, and other parts of your body, then this article is for you.
It happens to me as well, and I used to think that it was a demon sitting on my chest or a witch pressing my neck, but since I found out what really happens, whenever it happens, I just lay still until I’m able to move my body and speak again. it usually takes one or two minutes for that to occur.
Before I go on with this insightful and educative article, I’d love to say this: I am not an atheist, I believe in God, and I also believe that Satan exists. however, it is not every ‘bad’ thing that happens to us that is caused by demons, witches or wizards. Some of them have natural causes.
In this case, that sudden inability to move your body or speak while sleeping is not caused by any witch or wizard, it’s just a condition that’s called, SLEEP PARALYSIS.
It happens to a lot of persons in the world, and it is very common in this country, and according online survey, over 1.5 million people suffer from sleep paralysis.
Sleep paralysis is not a serious medical condition, however it should be taken seriously when it happens too frequently without any trigger or cause.
During SLEEP PARALYSIS, you are usually conscious but unable to move your body or speak, and sometimes you feel as if you’re outside your body or you fear that you might die from there.
Well, sleep paralysis is kind of normal, and you definitely won’t die from it.
Causes of sleep paralysis:
Basically, sleep paralysis is caused by serious sleep deprivation, fatigue and severe stress. However there are also several medical conditions that can cause sleep paralysis and an example is narcolepsy.
In summary, sleep paralysis is not a demon sitting on your chest, or a witch ‘pressing’ your neck or any of the many tales associated with it. sleep paralysis is simply is simply trigger by the causes I listed in the preceding paragraph.
How to avoid sleep paralysis, and what to do when you experience sleep paralysis:
First to avoid sleep paralysis, sleep well, and avoid severe stress or over working yourself during the day. When you experience it, just lay still, don’t struggle, or tilt yourself to a more uncomfortable position. Just lay still and wait for it to wear off, it usually takes one to two minutes. when it wears off, stand up for your bed, drink a glass of water, and try to relax well on your bed. Sometimes, you might need to shower to ease your mind, and help you relax and sleep well.
