voters’ registration; “Ghana President is spreading coronavirus among students…bring him to book”-UPP Odike fires

The two-day special voters’ registration exercise for qualified senior high school students across Ghana kick-started today but has sadly triggered a heat of political cacophony.

Members of several opposition parties in the country have raised their voices against the move, expressing agitations  over why the Electoral Commission under the influence of the sitting President should out of haste deploy registration officials to senior high schools in the wake of the skyrocketing confirmed cases of coronavirus in the country.

Mr. Akwasi Addai Odike, National Chairman, Founder and leader for United Progressive Party UPP has joined the wagon.

He is saying that the move (ongoing registration) by the President through the EC clearly suggests that His Excellency Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo Addo reopened schools in Ghana not for academic purposes but for his political expedience.

As a way of scoring more political gains in the upcoming 2020 presidential elections, the sitting president deliberately eased the covid-19 restrictions on academic activities by reopening schools for final year students so as to get them registered for the general elections to his advantage.

The famous businessman-turned-politician Mr. Odike told leakynews.net without mincing words that “Akuffo Addo is destroying the country. He is spreading the coronavirus infection and should therefore be brought to book”.

“He has disappointed Ghanaians and his diabolic interest will expose him. ”, he added.
