NPP Chairman for Asokwa constituency of Ashanti region Rev Benjamin Fosu Nkrumah has called on opposition parties to desist from creating false impressions against the delivery of the EC in the ongoing voter’s registration exercise.
Speaking at a symposium organised by the Ghana National Peace Council in Kumasi on Thursday, he stated that such parties must desist from rumour mongering as if Ghana is burning and speak the truth and facts on the limited voter’s registration.
“Stop Lieing and speak the truth. Ghana is not burning”.
He said in his solidarity message that he is shuddered by how some parties are chastising the EC, referencing that “the EC called all political parties and laid before us what they (EC) are about to roll out on the limited Voter’s Registration exercise. All parties were given opportunity to ask question. The EC asked if we have any dissenting view and we answered no, we don’t”.
The Chairman said it is therefore surprising that opposition parties are portraying things differently.
“We may have different political ideology but one goal which is seeing to the peace and development of our dear nation called Ghana. Let’s all strive at breeding peace and not unnecessary tension”, he admonished.
