Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia welcomed H. E. Salvador Valdes Mesa, Vice President of Cuba to the Jubilee House on Tuesday 14th November 2023.
The duo held discussions on strengthening bilateral relations between Ghana and Cuba.
The two countries have enjoyed strong ties for the past 64 years since Ghana became the first African country to establish diplomatic relations with Cuba, and the two countries have since enjoyed cooperation in many areas, including health, sports and education.
At meeting, Vice President Dr. Bawumia spoke about Ghana and Cuba looking at new areas of cooperation in tourism, application of bio-technology and Cuba’s technology for the treatment of diabetic foot ulcers.
