Unity Link donates GHs 200,000 into covid-19 fund, supports GHS with medical logistics

Management of Unity Link Financial Services has donated a colossal number medical logistics to the Ghana Health Service to assist the latter in the fight against coronavirus infection.

The institution according to information scooped by leakynews.net from health officials in Kumasi has given out 400 PPE kits, 305,000 N95, 12,100 pieces of hand gloves, 1000 pieces of goggles among other items all to Covid-19 treatment centers located within five regions in the country.

The regions are Ashanti (South Suntreso Government Hospital), Greater Accra (Ga East and Ridge Hospital), Eastern Region (Koforidua, Begoro and Suhum government hospitals),North East (Walewale Hospital).

Another donation of alcohol based sanitizers and veronica buckets were given out to Sekyeredumase Polyclinic and Suhum Government Hospital.

Sekyeredumase was given 400 sanitizers and 35 veronica buckets while Suhum government hospital received 500 sanitizers and 25 veronica buckets.

Aside the foregoing, officials of the financial institution also donated an amount of GHs 200,000 into the covid-19 fund.

They were received by the Ashanti Regional Health Director Dr. Emmanuel Tenkorang on Monday 17th April 2020.

Addressing the media before the presentation, the Bono East Regional Health Director Dr.Fred Adomako Boateng thanked the CEO for Unity Link Financial Services Mr. Douglas Mensah for the kind support.

He described the donation as unique and matchless.

“I don’t know of any company that has done such a generous donation to Ghana Health Service”, he noted.
