tragedy;Ghana Private schools executives land in an accident on Accra road

Two top executives of Ghana National Council of Private Schools (GNACOPS) have been involved in a terrible accident on the Accra Kumasi Highway.

The incident occurred today 27th April 2020 around 2:00am after officials were embarking on a return trip from the Bono East region with the council’s official vehicle.

Prior to the terrible calamity, the duo had an engagement with Private schools in the region and discussed matters related to the affairs of the organisation.

The tragic accident happened at the time the two front line executives in the persons of Mr. Enoch Gyetuah- (Executive Director for GNACOPS) and Mr. Steve Marfo (Project Manager for GNACOPS) were returning back to Accra.

Reaching Asankare , their vehicle skidded off the road and somersaulted into a bush when the driver after overtaking a vehicle which was then ahead of him proved unsuccessful in his next attempt to move back to his lane.

A tanker vehicle which was coming in the opposite direction on the other lane abruptly pulled out into scene.

Driver of the GNACOPS’ vehicle running out of option diverted his course into a nearby bush and cartwheeled several times in the process.

Briefing leakynews.net exclusively, Communication Director for GNACOPS Samuel Nyamekye disclosed that the two officials where immediately rushed to Atomic Hospital GAEC.

“They sustained minor injuries and are responding to treatment”, he told leakynews.net.
