Please understand that there are some kinds of fruits and vegetables that are not good for consumption during the period of pregnancy.

They are listed below.

A. Fruit called Pineapple:

Pregnant women should avoid this fruit within the first 3 months of the pregnancy.

The reason is eating pineapple can trigger sharp uterine contractions which can in turn cause miscarriage.

It is also embedded with bromelain which is an enzyme which breaks down proteins and can cause the cervix to soften causing early labor.

B. Papayas:

Papayas are very rich in macro nutrients and vitamins which are needed for the body.

On the flip side, papayas can cause your body’s temperature to rise up which is not good during period of pregnancy.

Papayas are also rich in latex, which can cause uterine contractions, bleeding and even miscarriage.

C. Bananas: Even though consuming bananas during pregnancy is considered safe, it should be avoided by women suffering from allergies especially those with diabetes or gestational diabetes.

This is because of the fact that bananas contain chitinas, a latex like substance that is a known allergen.

Banana is also a fruit which increases the body’s temperature and has good amount of sugar in them so diabetic pregnant women should avoid.

D. Fruit called Watermelon: This fruit enables the body to flush out all toxins in the body while regulating hydration.

Because of that, eating watermelon during pregnancy may expose the baby to various toxins that are being flushed out of the body.
