In fact there has been a lot of concern about the progress of the country.
Many people have bemoaned the standard of living in Ghana with the introduction of new taxes and high cost of things.
Kevin Taylor, a vociferous journalist for the opposition party NDC cum critic of the Akufo-Addo government has hit hard at his critics who claim he has been paid to verbally attack the government.

According to his statement, he has every right to criticize the government because same thing was done when John Mahama was president.
He reiterated that there was no need for him or anyone to beg the sitting president to fix the nation’s crises because of the fact that that is his primary duty.
“Let us put our tribe and religion aside and be objective. It is not about Kevin Taylor. Right now all they can say is that Kevin Taylor has been paid to speak against the government, but they cannot tell if they haven’t been paid to praise the government. They have not brought counter argument against scandals I bring up. When you speak against corruption, they say you have been paid.
They say I don’t respect, but those same people are watching my programmes. If I decide not to respect that won’t change the economy of Ghana. This won’t stop me from criticizing the government. I won’t beg Akufo-Addo to develop Ghana. I won’t beg him. I won’t beg him to fix dumsor. This was the same thing we did to Mahama. We didn’t beg him to solve it. We made Mahama know he has to solve it. In the same way we will criticize Akufo-Addo. No one will beg him. I won’t beg him” Kevin Taylor stated on his program.
