The EC has poor background in Mathematics- IMANI

President of Think Tank IMANI Africa, Franklin Cudjoe has jabbed the Electoral Commission(EC) over what he described as poor calculations after presidential results was declared by its chair, Jean Mensa.

His comments popped up after the Electoral Commission(EC) accepted their flaw in miscalculation of the presidential results.

The EC on the 9th of December made a statement which said Jean Mensah “inadvertently used 13,433,573 as the total valid votes cast.”

“The total valid votes cast is 13,119,460. This does not change the percentages stated for each candidate and the declaration made by the Chairperson,” a statement from the EC issued Thursday morning, December 10, 2020, said.

Jean Mensa made that statement after the National Democratic Congress(NDC) complained heavily of flaws in the presidential results.

Franklin Cudjoe however saw the mistake of the EC an avoidable one and showed his disappointment.
