Youth of Tafo have accused MP Hon Vincent Ekow Assafuah as the cause of the political upheaval which characterized the area a month ago over the choice of Municipal Chief Executive Officer.
Aggrived youth said during a press conference that unpleasant comments by some characters on the airwaves against the traditional leadership “are happening because our young MP does not respect us”.
Leader for the group Israel Kwadwo Dabanka said that since his assumption into office, Tafo community and for that matter the constituency has not known peace unlike the tenure of his predecessors.
“Hon Akoto Osei served as our MP for 16 years and we had no problem with him throughout his period of administration.
Hon Kyei Mensah Bonsu likewise served as our MP and no trouble was recorded between him and us but since Assafuah assumed power for just 5 months, there has always been confusion.”
Who is Assafuah!! …We want to tell Assafuah that he cannot destroy Tafo and that he is not the first person to serve as our MP…If his aim is to cause division, then we are telling him that he will fail.
We voted massively for him so if today by our votes he is occupying the parliamentary seat then he must ensure that he desist from any move targeted at causing division.
