
Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection Hon Cynthia Mamle Morrison has reiterated the need for all to demonstrate compassion towards persons with any forms of disability.
Speaking at the climax of Wishbone day- an international awareness day celebration, she cautioned all to desist from mocking them.
She noted that there is the need for parents to accept children in whatever condition they are born because they are gifts from God.

The holding of the week long celebration started from 2nd to 9th May and was climaxed today 6th May, 2020.
At the event, Ghana’s Ambassador for this year’s International Wishbone Day, Afia Ayeyi Yiadom Boakye popularly known as Ayeyi called on all persons living with any forms of disability to be strong in their endeavour and persevere for the best in life.
She called on all to support the Osteogenesis Imperfecta Foundation-Ghana to help improve the quality of life of people living with OI in Ghana.
She encouraged all to put on a yellow mask to support people with Osteogenesis Imperfecta also known as brittle bone disease as they protect themselves from COVID-19.

Those who are mocking persons with disability are those don’t think tomorrow and the future. Able-bodied people need to know that they can become any form of disabilities yes they can.
If you know that all human beings are gifted from God then why will u mocking persons with disability? Imagine you mocking persons with disability today, tomorrow you become disabled through fall sickness or accident. Will you mocking yourself again?
