As part of strategies aimed at fighting the spread of the terrible Coronavirus, government of Kenya has closed down schools for another one month. This was announced by the country’s Health Minister Mutahi Kagwe in a recent tweet.
Kenya has been observing a partial lockdown which has been in place for several weeks, with travel in and out of major cities banned.
Schools were closed in mid-March and had been due to reopen on 4 May.
During the moment of shutdown, the country’s education ministry has been providing school programmes via radio and TV broadcasts.
Meanwhile, Health Minister Mutahi Kagwe says that more than 100 patients out of Kenya’s 355 recorded Covid-19 cases have now recovered.
