Just In: NIA Boss Ken Attafuah Has Been ‘Fired’

NIA Boss Professor Ken Attafuah has received a tough castigation from members of an NPP pressure group based in Kumasi.

Executives and members of the group called “Asanteman Nkosuo NPP Mpuntuo” have ‘fired’ him verbally by expressing that they are not happy with a statement made by the National Identification Authority (NIA) Boss that “he (NIA Boss) has been directed by President Akuffo-Addo not to give preferential treatment to to party people in the job placement because he is there for all Ghanaians.”

The peeved and red-eyed group in a bitter reaction kicked against the above, underlining it as a clear betrayal of his political allegiance for party members and the faith of NPP.

In their defense statement, they indicated that NPP is what earned him his present position.

On the forgoing premise, the executives raised that it is therefore expected of him to prioritize members of the party in matters related to job placement.

“…he must be made to understand that it was our party man President Kuffour who first appointed him to that office only to be sacked by the late Prof Atta Mills when we lost power to our political opponent, the NDC”.

Addressing the media, Dr. Mohammed Issah Ababio-Chairman for the group advised Professor Attafuah to tread cautiously and be mindful of his public utterances.

“…this and many others make the work of the grassroot very difficult because it dumpens the spirit and demoralises us to give our best”
