Rtd Director General of Operations of the Ghana Police Service, COP George Alex Mensah has disclosed that contesting for the Parliamentary seat of Bekwai constituency is the next ambition to his retirement.
He retired from the Police Service on Sunday 17th September 2023, falling exactly on his date of birth.
In a phone-in interview with Kofi Adoma Nwanwani on Angel TV news on Sunday amidst birthday wishes from love ones, he set the record straight that he has not regretted serving within the Ghana Police.
His statement on his decision to contest for the parliamentary seat justifies what critics perceived as porous allegation made by Sammy Gyamfi, the National Communications Officer of the National Democratic Congress on Saturday 9th September 2023 on The Keypoints on TV3/3Fm that the Rtd COP George Alex Mensah was gunning for the MP seat at Bekwai constituency on the ticket of the New Patriotic Party.
Sammy Gyamfi then disclosed that Alex Mensah’s posters were even out.
