President’s address on COVID: “whatever he talked about is not my concern” -Asiedu Nketia

Sunday’s address to the nation by President Akuffo Addo on measures taken by  government against the spread of coronavirus has triggered a venomous comment from the scribe of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

Mr. Johnson Asiedu Nketia, speaking during a political talk-show dubbed “THE PROBE” on Joy News on Sunday (few minutes after Nana Addo’s address) cast tantrum against the content of the President’s statement while he expressed protest against the declared results by the EC on the just ended 7th December 2020 general elections.

He said without mincing words that whatever the President said in his address was not he concern.

“Whatever he is talking about is not my concern for now…Many people die from bad governance than COVID so you must fix the governance system. If I am affected by COVID now, I have the chance of surviving and it will take me sometime to solve it but if the shooting that is going on now, if they shoot me now, won’t I die and I will die faster than COVID.

So let’s fix the wrong things that are threatening to throw this country into explosion than to be talking about COVID at this stage because we (NDC) were talking about COVID before the election. Did they listen?

When we were saying that it’s COVID period the electoral commission cannot do this gathering the government sent soldiers to protect them to do what they did because they wanted to benefit from it. “
