An ardent member of a popular ruling political party in Ghana (New Patriotic Party) Mr. Ali Suraj has advised Ghanaians to desist from the habit of circulating videos of military brutalities which has nothing to do with the conduct of security agencies in the country.
As some parts of the country observe a partial lockdown, other unpatriotic citizens have developed the habit of circulating videos on the manhandling of citizens by the military as they enforce a lockdown order as though the recorded incident happened in the country.
Mr. Ali Suraj advised that motion pictures of such nature have imposes s negative imprint on the reputation of the security personnel of Ghana and will end up creating unnecessary fear and panic among the citizenry.
Mr. Suraj in an interview with leakynews.net, he underlined that such false videos will invite ill feelings against the security.
“I want to submit that, the happenings in those videos never occured in Ghana. They happened outside the country”, he defended.
He urged Ghanaians to channel their energies into the fight against the deadly Covid-19.
“Let me state categorically that, our security agencies are well trained. They are professionals who are on top of their jobs.”
