NSS Kumawu Farm Project: Hon Osei Assibey Pays Working Visit To 200,000 Acre Land

Management of National Service Scheme (NSS), led by the Executive Director of NSS, Hon. Assibey Antwi paid a working visit to a 200,000 acre land in Kumawu, earmarked as an avenue to train National Service Personnel (NSP) in agriculture and ag-adjacent disciplines.

Dubbed the NSS Kumawu Farm Project, the Scheme is seeking to train a minimum of 20,000 Personnel, community volunteers and ex NSPs annually in maize, rice and soybean farming. The project will also train youth in animal husbandry and poultry production.

The delegation was received by the Regional Director for NSS in Ashanti region, Mr. Alex Opoku Mesnsah and was led by the project consultants.

Also present for the visit included, the Deputy Executive Director in charge of Operations, Mr. Kwaku Ohene Gjan, Director in charge of Administration, Mr. Paul Owusu Appiah; Head Business Development, Mr. Gabrial Osei.
