We inaugurated the 50th-anniversary celebration of the National Service Scheme on Tuesday, October 10, 2023, at the Kofi Ohene Konadu Auditorium at the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA). The theme for this momentous occasion is “Repositioning the Scheme for Sustainable National Development.”
In the company of distinguished guests, we marked this event with the presence of President H.E Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, Speaker of Parliament Rt. Hon Alban Bagbin, Minister for Education Hon Yaw Osei Adutwum, and several other dignitaries. Their support is deeply appreciated.
During my welcome address, I acknowledged the presence of all attendees, expressed my heartfelt gratitude to President Akufo-Addo for his unwavering support, and shared our insights into the NSS’s vital contributions to our great nation. We are more ready than ever to forge ahead with our mission.
I would like to extend a warm welcome to everyone who joined us to celebrate our 50th anniversary. This celebration marks the awesome journey of the NSS in serving our nation and reinforces our commitment to sustainable national development.
Here’s to 50 years of dedicated service, and to the many more that lie ahead as we work together to shape a brighter future for Ghana.
