A group of NPP followers in the diaspora have declared their support behind Vice President Dr. Mamudu Bawumia for a massive victory in the upcoming primaries.

The group is called “Diaspora for Dr. Mamudu Bawumia” and the members strongly believe that Dr. Bawumia is the person who deserves to succeed President Akuffo Addo and that he alone can ensure the continuity of Ghana’s development.

At press briefing held in Kumasi on Monday, 30th October, 2023, they defended their claim with the litany of achievements scored by the Vice President, which according to them should convince NPP delegates to vote massively for him come 4th November, 2023.

On policy continuity, the group said Dr. Bawumia is Ghana’s only sure bet of continuity of policies that are transforming Ghana to be like the countries Ghanaian youth are investing so many resources to relocate to.

“We enjoy living in those countries where the system works 24/7 and we need a President who would build similar systems in Ghana.

No strong man can transform Ghana without strong institutions”, they indicated in their press statement.

The press conference turned more dramatic when they said that the wife of Dr. Bawumia, lady Samira Bawumia is a powerful campaigner and that she together with her husband can shake the nation with their powerful message.

“Besides Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings, no spouse of a presidential candidate or vice presidential candidate has been as eloquent as Samira on political campaigns…

Should the former President John Dramani Mahama and his Vice Presidential candidate Jane contest again in 2024, Mrs. Bawumia would be very instrumental in her husband’s campaign.

She could compete for space with the woman Vice-presidential candidate of the NDC.

No other spouse of the other main NPP contenders could match Samira.

She would also be very excellent first lady following how well she has represented the current NPP government and her husband in the advancement of Ghanaian women and children.

Her beauty and fashion would only be comparable to Michelle Obama.”
