The National Scribe for the biggest opposition Party in Ghana (National Democratic Congress) has indicated that members of the ruling New Patriotic Party who are on the Parliamentary Service Board are frightened over his appointment and presence on the Board.
Mr Asiedu Nketia gave explainations that those people criticizing his appointment are all NPP members.
Asiedu Nketia otherwise known as “General Mosquito” continued that his appointment by the Speaker of Parliament, Alban Bagbin is lawful and does not constitute any infringement of the laws of Parliament.
He made this statement on a popular Accra based radio station NEAT 100.9fm.
National scribe Asiedu Nketia has been appointed to the Parliamentary Service Board (PSB) by Alban S.K. Bagbin, Speaker of Parliament.
Honourable Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu who is the Member of Parliament for Suame, Tamale South MP Haruna Iddrisu, former Majority leader Abraham Osei Adu, former MP for Wenchi West, Johnson Asiedu Nketia, the Clerk to Parliament, and the Speaker, who also serves as chairman constitute the six-member Board.
