Close to four hundred party executives and followers of the popular opposition party NDC at Ejura Sekyedumase have defected to the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP).
The foregoing political switch was triggered by what they described as convincing developmental projects and initiatives implemented by the ruling party in the area.
Leader for the group Abdul Jalil a.k.a “Obour” disclosed to leakynews.net that the area has benefitted so much under the present administration of NPP more than when NDC was in power.
Majority of employment opportunities plus life touching initiatives such as planting for food and jobs, NaBCO, Rural Electrification Project etcetera are all in a full swing in the area.
Throughout their many years of service for NDC as polling station agents, party communicators, foot soldiers among other political capacities, they have realised that the leadership of NDC only used them as tools to execute their dirty agendum without any benefit or a payback reward.
“We have wasted our energies for nothing”, a disappointed executive cried out.
The descision was disclosed at the time the Ashanti regional NASARA coordinator Alhaji Saalim Bamba was touring the area.
