National Security Stops Bawumia’s Press Conference In Kumasi

The Ghana National Security has stopped a group called Movement for Bawumia 2024 from embarking on a news conference which was scheduled to take off at the Kumasi Center for National Culture.

All was set for the conference to start at 12:00 noon on Wednesday 26th May 2021 but was stopped by the Ashanti Regional Security Coordinator accompanied by the Ghana Police department; Operation Calm Life.

The Chairman of Movement for Bawumia, Mr Duncan Opoku Boateng a.k.a “Bombey” in an interview with the press said, the presser was intended to eulogized Dr Kwaku Oteng for suspending Captain Smart over his derogatory comments against the Vice President of Ghana, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia.

He alleged that some unscrupulous opponents might have incited the Security to halt the press conference.

However, the Movement will never relent on its efforts to rally behind the Vice President in his quest to vie for the New Patriotic Party’s flagbearership contest in 2024.

Mr Bombay was invited by the security for interrogations.

  1. NPP is a disgraceful party. With this unbearable high cost of living in the country, instead of NPP getting down to work to improve the lot of Ghanaians they are struggling for who leads the party. Irresponsible behaviour.
