Officials of Muslim Family Counseling Services (MFCS) have donated hand washing facilities to some selected schools and health institutions in Bawku.
The gesture covered five communities, benefitting schools namely Manga, Kpalwega, Windi, Gingande Mognoro Junior High Schools.
Presentation was done on 22nd October, 2023 through the partnership support of Vision for Action Foundation, the Bawku Municipal Health Directorate of the Ghana Health Service and the Ghana Education Service.
Total cost of the items plus installation was given as GHs 27,000.
The donation was made possible through the funding support of Anesvad Foundation.
Project Coordinator Mohammed Bun Bida after presenting the items told the press that the gesture was aimed at addressing skin Non Tropical Diseases (NTDs) in the area.
It falls under a 2-year Project, dubbed: “Multi Faith Action To Address NTDs”.
Implementation of the project started in February 2023 and its being executed in 10 communities.
