General Secretary hopeful for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Hon Musah Superior has condoled deeply over the number of lives lost in Thursday’s huge explosion which occurred at Apiate, a community near Bogoso.
Several people lost their lives after a vehicle carrying mining explosives collided with a motorcycle.
Mutilated bodies were left behind coupled with devastated buildings due to the magnitude of the blast radius of the explosives.
According to AFP news agency, “it’s almost s ghost town now.
About 500 houses were affected some of which were completely destroyed”, Sedzi Sadzi Amedonu- Senior Officer for NADMO said.
Expressing his lamentation and condolence; Hon Musah Superior who doubles as the Deputy CEO for Ghana Forestry Commission in an official statement copied to the office of www.leakynews.net said;
“I humbly wish to express my heartfelt condolence to all the families who have lost their valued relatives including those who have been injured consequent to the tragic explosion who took the entire nation aback on Thursday.
I wish to thank all the emergency service providers involved in assisting the victims.
May the good Lord strengthen us all.
