Hon Asenso Boakye- Member of Parliament for Bantama Constituency has broken ground for the construction of an Ultramodern police station at Ohwim-amanfrom.
Price value of the project is GHs 225,000.
Its construction cum completion as disclosed by Samuel Kwame Broni (Contractor of Construction firm Kasboni Construction Company) will cover a period of 6 months.
The Member of Parliament is personally footing the above-mentioned bill (GH 225,000) covering all expenses on the project.
Speaking at the sod-cutting ceremony, Hon Asenso who doubles as the Minister for Works and Housing announced that he has much developmental interventions for the constituency and paramount amoung them is security.
Completion of Ohwim-amanfrom police station will be a top up to existing ones at Bohyen and Bantama, all put up through the lobbying skills of the Member of Parliament.
The high rate of crime in areas like Ohwim, Amanfrom and Atafoa has for years been an albatross on the neck of residents and according to the sector Minister concerns on that have been put before him by residents.
He said at the event that before taking up the position as the MP, he realised the urgent need to use his influence to fast track the development the constituency.
Among the litany of support offered through his facilitation include; construction of 4 AstroTurfs ( 3 completed, 1 ongoing), ongoing construction of the state-of-the-art Basic STEM School at North Suntreso, Ultramodern public school (completed) at Hwediem among others.
Nana Ama Achiaa- Queen of Akusu community offered the land for the construction of the Ohwim-amanfrom police station.
