The Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) officially wishes to congratulate the leadership and the delegates of the Ghana Private Road Transport Union (GPRTU) for a successful congress.
The choice of Kumasi as the host of us (KMA) was a great decision as it brought home the mother of all unions to the city where the likes of Nana Kwame Antwi gave a great support and push for the birth and organization of the union.
Although a number other groups have come out of it, GPRTU still remains the most organized union and we continue to appreciate the great leadership skills exhibited always.

The elevation of Nana Nimako Bresiamah from Regional Chairman for the Ashanti region to the position of National chairman is so appropriate.
The Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly enjoyed good working relationship under the tenure of Nana Nimako Bresiamah in the following areas;
Our ability to allocate limited slots to stations to operate at the New Kejetia terminal that made trading take off swiftly
- Your involvement in the introduction of safety protocols to curb the spread of Covid-19.
- Prompt resolution of conflict at various stations irrespective of the unions involved.
- Regulation of Transport services, gathering of data for transport, proper enforcement to control illegality and fixing of lorry fares among others.
We at KMA and Asanteman know that your great leadership skills will be used to bring all parties in the management of transport service at the National level.
We pledge our support for all your activities and hope that by the end of your tenure, the whole country will be proud of having you at the helm of affairs in transport delivery.
Once again, we say Ayekoo! Nana Nimako Bresiamah and GPRTU.
