The Legal and Communication Head for the Campaign team of Hon Kennedy Agyapong, Lawyer Williams Kusi has fired at Vice President Dr. Bawumia for spending so much money of NPP delegates for political power.
He has critiqued that the collosal amount of money spent desperately by the Vice President for NPP’s flagbearership position could have been used by him to create jobs for the unemployed masses.
“If you have such a huge sum of money for delegates why don’t you use that same money to set up jobs for unemployed Ghanaians so they can get money to support themselves and their families than giving it out to part delegates”, he remarked when he was addressing artisans at Suame Magazine in the Ashanti region on Wednesday.
The outspoken legal practitioner made this statement after throwing light on the litany of life-touching interventions and projects done by Hon Kennedy Agyapong; an effort aimed at alleviating the economic pressure on the vulnerable in society.
He mentioned some as the construction of a starch factory at Atebubu-Amantin which has employed 960 people, building of a health facility at the 37 military hospital at the cost of 6 million dollars, provision of health logistics to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital plus series of cash donations, scholarships, etc.
Lawyer Kusi said vehemently in his address that since independence, the history of Ghana cannot boost of a single politician who has even spent 1 million dollars to put up a health facility aside Hon Kennedy Agyapong.
“No one has done that before. Even Obiba J.K (Dr. Bawumia) has not been able to support the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital with a broom”.
Owing to the foregoing, Lawyer Williams Kusi charged the gathering and NPP delegates to vote for Hon Kennedy Agyapong even if Dr. Bawumia gives them money.
“They are giving out monies. The money is our own money. If they approach you with money collect it. Collect the money and vote for Kennedy Agyapong”, he admonished.
