Kwanwoma Chief Commissions 1st Phase of Jumbo Market Project For Community

Nana Amponsah Kwaa IV, Chief for Kwanwoma; a community located within the Atwima Kwanwoma District of Ashanti region has completed and commissioned the first phase of the construction of a jumbo market project for his people.

The building of the first phase which is situated on an acre of land started within the month of February 2021 and after completion was handed over to the community on the 28th April 2021.

It consists of 16 shelters and the purpose for its construction is to serve as the center of all forms of commercial activities for the community and other neighboring towns.

Present at the commissioning was the District Chief Executive Officer for the area Nana Okyere Tawiah among other officials from the assembly.

Speaking at the event, Nana Amponsah Kwaa IV said that he saw the need to put up the project to demonstrate his love and support for his people.

It was also a way of offering residents a comfortable facility where they can carry out their trade without stress.

He indicated that matters related to development cannot be carried out singlehandedly by government. Nana Amponsah Kwaa IV explained that development is a collective responsibility and that every chief or individual has a role to play.

“I am determine to develop this community and ensure that Kwamwoma becomes a beacon of sound development for every area in Ashanti region and beyond”, he noted in an exclusive interview with .

He assured that the construction of the second phase of the project will kick-start in no time. The Chief however advised residents to make good use of the facility.
