The Kumasi City Mayor Hon Sam Pyne has counselled Muslims to allow the tenets of Quran to guide them in their dealings with all persons within and outside the Islamic faith.
He has stated that he is anticipating a general reflection on the social and economic well-being of all Ghanaians by all Muslims.

The government official made this call at the Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission’s version of prayer gathering, held in Kumasi last Saturday as part of the celebration of Eid al-Fitr; a festive moment that marks the end of Ramadan, the Islamic holy month of fasting and prayer.
Sam Pyne placed emphasis on the fact that Ghana is a blessed nation, characterized by people with diverse background and religion living together in peace and harmony.
On that premise, he charged Muslims to cherish the above advantage and utilize it as the basis for advancing the developmental course of Ghana.
The Mayor in a further admonition told participants at the prayer gathering to place premium and emphasis on things that bind the citizenry together instead of issues that promote disharmony.
“Nurture and practice things that promote the total development of our country”.
He commended Muslims for the efforts exhibited towards ensuring peace during the observation of this year’s Ramadan vis-à-vis their relationship with people of other faith.
The aforementioned according to him has largely contributed to the tranquil atmosphere that has prevailed within the Metropolis and Ghana by extension.
He however called on them to support President Akuffo Addo with prayers and also rally behind him towards the achievement of his vision, aimed at ensuring that all Ghanaians achieve a better living standard.
Despite the prevailing economic challenges, he mentioned that government is still focused on seeing to it that the development of Ghana is realized.
The Ashanti regional Missionary President for the Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission Maulvi Abdul Hameed after raising much displeasure in his sermon about the sanitary situation within the metropolis among others said the Mission is ready to support the Assembly.
“If they need something we are ready to provide”.
He also called on the gathering to pray for city authorities for an effective discharge of their mandate.
