NPP Chairman for Bantama constituency Hon Fiifi Mensah says he is a bit disappointed by the thin margin that characterised the difference in votes earned by Dr. Bawumia against that of Kennedy Agyapong in the just ended NPP primaries in his constituency.
Per the certified results declared by officials of the Electoral Commission, Kennedy Agyapong had 404, Dr. Bawumia 422, Dr. Akoto Osei 1 and Addai Nimo 2.
However, the constituency Chairman told the media that “personally I am a bit disappointed because I expected a bigger margin in favor of Dr. Bawumia.
Yes Bawumia won but just that the margin was not what I expected”.
He explained that what helped Kennedy to win much votes is because he was raised up in Bantama and as a result has a lot of fraternity in the constituency.
“It’s never true that Kennedy came so close to winning the elections because majority of the delegates are peeved.
Let me be frank with you. The Delegates don’t have any issue with anyone and no delegate is angry”
