The New Patriotic Party (NPP) is only good at policy initiation. They are somehow weak at its implementation; Founder of Movement for Defense of Democracy (MDD) Mr. Emmanuel Kwame Boamah has indicated.
Though litany of developmental policies introduced by the elephant party is needed by every developing country, their much expected impact according to him has not been realized due to weak implementation on their part.
Mr. Emmanuel Boamah cited NPP’s much trumpeted flagship policies; Planting for Food and Jobs (PFJ) plus the Planting for Export and Rural Development (PERD) as a classic example.

Having made inferences, he expressed that the rank-and-file of the party have proved feeble vis-à-vis the implementation of the duo.
Farmers are not enjoying the relevance of policies owing to the fact that the government of the day and for that matter the Agric Ministry doesn’t know how to go by the decentralization of its execution at the district level especially the PFJ.
Poor implementation of the PERD is what has brought about the high prices of maize, eggs, chicken and the collapse of a number of poultry farms.
Mr. Boamah who doubles as the assembly man for Ankaase Electoral area of the Kwabre East District suggested that the Ministry of Agric should liase with assembly members directly, and through the latter channel resources to farmers at the various districts.
