The leadership of International Human Care and Relief Organisation- Ghana (IHCRO-Ghana) has distributed 50 wheelchairs to persons with disability at Asokore Mampong Municipality.
The items worth over thousands of Ghana Cedis were presented on Tuesday 23rd March 2021.
Beneficiaries were PWDs who were in serious need of support.
Majority of them are residents of Asokore Mampong Municipality whiles the rest were selected from other districts in Ashanti region.
Officials received the wheelchairs from the mother global organisation IHCRO and dispensed them, aimed at empowering PWDs in their movement.
Sheikh Bun Bida Mohammed, National Public Relations Officer told www.leakynews.net on the sidelines that they realised how beneficiaries of which majority are street beggars struggle in their movement when going about their daily activities and therefore saw the need to assist them.
He underscored the donation as just one of their many humanitarian activities, assuring that “we will continue with the support so that we can reach out to the larger number. They are vulnerable and we have to support them”.
According to him, the Ghana branch of the organization was established just this year 2021 but has impacted much lives since its formation.
Founder of the organization he explained is someone who has mankind at heart.
IHCRO is not a Faith based organisation. The motive behind its formation is to support humanity.
