Maverick member of Parliament for Assin Central Hon Kennedy Agyapong may soon be dragged to court by one of the leading members of the umbrella family (NDC) Hon Joseph Yamin.
Few days ago, the former named the latter as part of a group of 25 NDC members who he alleged are plotting to kill expatriates in the country including Hon Kyei Mensah Bonsu-Majority leader as the Nation heads towards 2020 general elections.
Speaking on Nhyira Fm 104.5 MHz morning show, Hon Joseph Yamin described the allegations as false and highly defamatory and that Hon Kennedy Agyapong has put his (Yamin) life, that of his family and all persons named in danger for alledging that “we are planning to kill expatriates and burn down markets”.
He disclosed that his lawyers have taken the matter up to effect his(Kennedy Agyapong) arrest on the issue of defamation. “…after that we will handle the criminal aspect to the police to investigate”.
In a wild-toned response, Hon Yamin fingered that Hon Kennedy Agyapong has lost relevance and confidence in his own party; the reason behind his reckless and uncultured talks on the airwaves.
“He talks like a puppy I own in my house. It barks upon seeing a visitor but immediately runs for cover when the visitor enters its domain(house)…
I will sue him big time so that I can get land cruiser and a radio station to own…After taking the legal action I will face him”.
