Asante Kotoko Chief Executive Officer, Nana Yaw Amponsah has pledged to brand the players of the team who are the ‘cash cow’ of the club.
The branding of players and football clubs in the country has been questioned over the years.
Local media reports suggest that lack of quality branding of clubs has driven off corporates bodies to inject money into clubs.
However, Nana Yaw Amponsah has faith that his management team have the prerequisite skills to brand Kotoko players to be celebrities to attract more companies for endorsements.
“My Management is determined to brand Kotoko players to be celebrities just like movie stars and musicians, and this means that, where they live, where they eat and their outfits must be evolved,” Nana Yaw Amponsah told on Opemsuo FM.
“If a Kumawood actor is tagged as a celebrity, why can’t a Kotoko player be in the same tag. Our players must get an endorsement from big brands.”
Nana Yaw Amponsah has disclosed eight competent members of management in Kumasi to help him execute his task.
The CEO has unveiled a new eight-member management team.
