President Nana Addo has begun profiling people to fill ministerial positions for his second term.
Majority have raised arguments that the president’s first term was filled with so many redundant positions and this has occasioned him to reduce the number of positions for his 2nd term.
One of the positions that has captured the eyes of many is the Attorney General position.
News has it that Godfred Dame will be replacing Gloria Akuffo as the Attorney General.
Majority of Ghanaians have maintained that the Deputy Attorney General has done enough to merit a full time position.
On ‘The Key Points’ with Abena Tabi, Franklin Cudjoe gave his opinion on the appointment of Godfred as Attorney General.
“He is sarcastically good. He is politically sarcastic. I have seen him in court quit a number of times. Even though I think he gets some of his law very very wrong in terms of human rights.
I think what he did in SALL was an aberration on everything. Even though he was speaking law, he was talking nonsense. Dame is an interesting gentleman and I like him.
I think he is going to do well. Gloria should be given a proper role. She made thoughtful reflections on the Agyapa case. Unfortunately, it will be sad that Gloria will be leaving and someone like Ursula will be staying.” he said during the program.
