I Campaigned For You But You’re A Disappointment- NPP Man To Nana Addo

Past are the days when citizenry placed party loyalty over national interest.

Ghanaians used to be so glued to their political parties that, they saw everything from the political angel.

Scarcely would a New Patriotic Party member or a National Democratic Congress member see anything wrong with what their party had done.

They found ways and means to justify an action taken by their party even if the all evidence pointed otherwise.

The trend has somewhat switched.

Ghanaians are now being objective in their analysis of political issues. More and more citizens are now able to boldly come out to express their thoughts on issues without any political coloration of their judgement, even if it is against the party they voted for.

There are scores of political activists who were once strong advocates for the president, Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo Addo, but have fallen out with him.

One of these personality, who is also a leading member of “the fix the country” group, is in the person of Mr. Afrifa Mensah.

The journalist plus actor used his platform to campaign for the current president in the 2012 and 2016 elections. The outspoken media personality, on Tv3 New Day Show, expressed a great displeasure about how our leaders have failed the country.

He lamented government in other jurisdictions have improved the standard of living of their citizens.

In Ghana, he remarked, “there are no proper planning, as roads can be constructed and get damaged the moment it rains, which is not the situation in other countries.”

He noted that even though he is a card bearing member of the ruling New Patriotic Party and campaigned vigorously for the president, he is deeply disappointed in the president.

Mr. Katakyie said the president is a disappointment to the country. He urged leadership of the country to be up and doing to improve the living conditions of the citizens.
