Officials of National Service Scheme led by the hard-working Chief Executive Hon Osei Assibey, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Ministry of Youth and Sports, under the leadership of Hon. Mustapha Ussif, who serves as the Minister.

This development took place on Wednesday, November 1, 2023, at the Ministry of Youth and Sports in Accra, Ghana.

This MoU represents NSSs joint commitment to taking Ghana’s sports industry to new heights.

The main focus of NSS officials is to deploy National Service Personnel to key sports organizations across the country.

These dedicated individuals will contribute their skills and expertise in areas such as marketing, physiotherapy, psychology, financial management, social media management, and content creation, among others.

The primary goal of this collaboration is to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and hands-on experience.

Hon Osei Assibey said in an interview with www.leakynews.net that “our aim is to enhance the positioning, promotion, and branding of various clubs and sports federations, enabling them to compete on a global stage.

I encourage all stakeholders involved in this partnership to seize the incredible opportunities it presents. Let’s fully leverage this initiative to foster growth within our respective organizations.

Together, we can drive youth and sports development in Ghana to unprecedented heights.

I’m particularly excited about this groundbreaking initiative. Sports organizations and federations in Ghana need fresh, modern perspectives to assist with administrative tasks and institutional branding.

The critical role of marketing for sporting clubs cannot be overstated, and I am confident that our service personnel will play a pivotal role in designing effective marketing strategies, generating significant interest, and rallying support for local leagues, thereby strengthening sponsorship drives.

I would also like to acknowledge the invaluable support of Professor Peter Twumasi, the Director General of the National Sports Authority.

We understand the capacity challenges, and with this collaboration with the National Service Scheme, we are confident that the necessary personnel will be available to facilitate the day-to-day administration of the Authority. His unwavering support for this initiative is deeply appreciated, and we are fully committed to ensuring its successful implementation.

This is an remarkable journey we are embarking on, and I am happy to be part of this transformative endeavor. Let’s work together to make a substantial impact on Ghana’s sports sector.”
