Asokore Mampong Municipal Assembly under the instrumental leadership of Hon Alidu Seidu today 4th June 2020 fumigated a number of Mosques within the Municipality.
The disinfection was carried out as a fulfilment of an agreement reached yesterday during a meeting between the assembly and the leadership of the various religious bodies.
Specific areas that were disinfected were the Kumasi Central mosque, Daryl Hadith mosque, Mallam Dudu mosque, Asokore Mampong mosque, Sakafia mosque among others.
Per the plans of the assembly, the same will be replicated on the 5th and 6th within churches located in the area.
Speaking to leakynews.net, Municipal Chief Executive Officer Hon Alhaji Alidu Seidu assured that all expenses covering the fumigation will be shouldered by the assembly.
