HIV Lead Advocate Alarmed By High Rate Of Infection

 

 

Ashanti region’s Lead-advocate for Allied Journalists for HIV/AIDS Education (A.J.A.E) Nathaniel Yankson has bemoaned the current upsurge in HIV infections at Asokwa Municipality.

He has identified the cause of the rise to low level of awareness creation and weak adherence to safety protocols.

In a further indication, he said that the sexual content of some television programs has influenced to youth to engage in sex unnecessarily, hence the rise in the rate of infection among the youth.

Mr Nathaniel has therefore called on stakeholders within the Municipality such as churches, schools among others to heighten their actions in relation to HIV public sensitization.
