Eviction Notice From Manhyia: KMA Warns Traders to Vacate Street Before Wednesday

Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) has under the directive of Manhyia Palace warned traders to vacate all ceremonial routes meant for the Asantehene, Otumfour Osei Tutu II.

Traders and motorists who have occupied routes; Dr. Mensah to Otumfour roundabout through to Adum Melcom and the Harper road, all within the Central Business District (CBD) according to the directive are to vacate before Wednesday 28th April 2021.

Authorities of KMA have by a release dated 25th April 2021, signed by the Public Relations Officer for KMA Henrietta A.K Aboagye and copied to the office of www.leakynews.net advised traders plying their trade within the abovementioned areas to move to their designated places to avoid any undesired action by the security.

Below is a copy of the Press Statement;

“The Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) wishes to draw the attention of the general public that it has received a directive from the Asantehene Otumfour Osei Tutu II secretariat in a letter signed by the Chief Protocol Officer indicating that henceforth, His Royal Majesty would be using the ceremonial routes meant for him.

These routes are Dr. Mensah to Otumfour roundabout through to Adum Melcom and Harper road.

In furtherance to this, the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) is by this release drawing the attention of all traders and motorists on the stretch that, henceforth His Royal Majesty Otumfour Osei Tutu II would be using the direct route from Manhyia through Apagyafie to Kejetia and Adum Palace for all traditional rites and that all traders who have blocked the right-of-way should vacate before Wednesday 28th April 2021.

All traders who are currently plying their trade there are advised to move to their designated area to avoid any undesired action by the security.”
