E-LEVY: “Ignore NDC’s Hindrances Towards Its Passage”

USE EXECUTIVE POWERS TO

IMPLEMENT THE E-LEVY

DECEMBER 21, 2021

Ghana laws were made by Ghanaians to promote the growth of our economy.

Parliament was given supervisory powers by Ghanaians to implement government’s policies that needs appropriation of state/statutory funds. Never was the parliament empowered by the constitution to scrap Government intended policies to build the country.

The powers the Parliament has to oppose government’s policies is to count themselves out of passing any law or policy of the government by staging a walk out of the house such that the negative repercussions of any decision of the government excludes them.

Besides, it is the government of the day who decides what is better for the country but not the opposition hence the power to approve and implement budget rest in the chest of the government whether or not the opposition succumbs to the content of the budget.

The NDC as opposition party has no power whatsoever to tell the government what it should or should not do – the NDC can only suggest alternatives.

From this background and perspective, PRESIDENT AKUFFO ADDO should ignore the NDC’s envious, timidly and pessimistic hindrances towards the passage of the E-LEVY and uses his executive powers to implement the policy to move Ghana Forward.

The president has to seek the power of implementing the policy from the Ghanaian populace whom the MPs are supposed to represent but has turned it to serve their personal and NDC party interest.

Ghana must grow.

IGNORE THE EMBATTLED PARLIAMENT AND IMPLEMENT THE E – Levy policy.

THE LAW IS GHANA

THE LAW IS CITIZENS
OF GHANA

THE LAW IS THE PROGRESS OF GHANA

THE LAW IS NOT FOR PARLIAMENT NOR FOR NDC.
