Assemblyman for Adenyaase-Sawaaba electoral area of the Asokore Mampong Municipality has reiterated his call for the immediate reconstruction of a dilapidated bridge linking the area to the assembly.
Hon Samuel Kulebil Duabunn has indicated that the bridge is currently in a death-trap state and may trigger an untimely disaster in the event of a torrential rain.
The state of affairs he noted demands an urgent dredging of the heavily chocked facility by the assembly for a free flow of liquid waste so that houses situated near the fast eroding bridge will not be submerged by any flood.
He expressed that, the bridge should be reconstructed and re-positioned architecturally so as to address flood situation which characterize the area seasonally.
The assemblyman raised the above concern in an exclusive interview with www.leakynews.net at the time as a full scale clean-up exercise was in session.
The event was organised on Saturday and that stretch of road in front of the NHIS building, at Sakafia, Sawaaba Drug store and road linking the District Assembly and the famous affordable houses were cleaned.
All chocked gutters were cleared.
Hon Samuel Kulebil used the occasion to admonished residents in area to abstain from disposing refuse at unapproved areas.
