Musah Superior Writes….
The Danquah-Dombo-Busia tradition is the oldest political tradition in Ghana. It surfaced in 1947. Dr JB Danquah, Dr Kofi Abrefa Busia and Simon Diedong Dombo were the key architects.
This tradition remains the cornerstone of the NPP.
It has been a struggle; and our great pre independence leaders ensured the tradition won, survived and today leading the Ghanaian government. We had led the government between 2000 and 2008.
We must all defend and protect it. We can perfectly do so when we are selfless, not corrupt, not dominating, not intimidated and ready to speak against malpractices, maladministration, dictatorship, disregard and oligarchism. We need a GS who will open up the Party in tandem with the visions and aspirations of the founding fathers of our tradition.
My bid for the position of General Secretary of our great Party is to redefine it, make the thousands of disgruntled, unmotivated and less hopeful members believe in it again.
