Covid-19; “revoke all restrictions if you can’t enforce them”- Ghana President told

Ashanti regional Chairman for United Progressive Party (UPP) has fired a fresh ‘missile’ against the President of Ghana and the ruling New Patriotic Party.

Following the level of non-compliance to covid-19 protocols and restrictions imposed under a Presidential order, Mr. Charles Armah-Crosby has stated that the imposition of all the covid-19 restrictions by President Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo Addo was totally useless and needless since he has not been firm as in ensuring an effective efforcement.

Chairman for the popular opposition party gave reference that social gatherings of even more than a hundred people “still happen”.

“Funeral gatherings held for more than three hours, people without nose masks at public places at the full glare of security personnel, abuse of social distancing among others still characterise the state of affairs all because President after announcing the restrictions with all the legal penalties associated if violated has been weak in enforcing them”.

In an interview with www.leakynews.net, he stated that “now that we have all realised that our President cannot effect an enforcement and that Ghanaians are not willing to comply to the restrictions and protocols, I will humbly appeal to His Excellency Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo Addo to repeal all imposed orders and leave the destiny of Ghanaians in their own hands”, he stated shockingly.

“So long as he can’t enforce his own orders and that his party followers even abused them during the just ended NPP Parliamentary primaries, it clearly suggest that there was no need for the imposition”, he added.covi
