Ashanti Regional Chairman for United Progressive Party UPP Mr. Crosby Charles-Armah has advised President of Ghana His Excellency Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo Addo to insulate himself against all forms of pressure exerted on him by the citizenry i.e the call for the lifting of the covid-19 restrictions on public gatherings.
He relayed that none of the ongoing agitations should influence the President of Ghana to announce the dissolution of the ban in his next national address on Ghana’s covid-19 situation.
The vocal chairman for the opposition party gave reasons that the recorded national figures on confirmed positive cases in relation to recoveries and deaths is so disturbing and that any haste on the party of authorities to revoke the restrictions will spell doom for the country.
As at 23rd May 2020, total confirmed cases stood at 6,808, total recoveries 2,070 and a total deaths of 32.
In a cozy dialogue with leakynews.net, the Ashanti regional political lord for UPP premised on the foregoing stats advised the President to tighten up health safety measures in every area of the country so as to heighten the combat against the spread of the virus before deciding on the soon lifting of all restrictions.
