Covid-19; high abuse of social distancing mars donation by Deputy Chief of Staff

Presentation of medical equipment by the Deputy Chief of Staff Hon Asenso Boakye at Suntreso government hospital was marred by a high abuse of WHO social distancing protocol by attendees.

Hon Asenso Boakye who doubles as the parliamentary aspirant for Bantama constituency made a donation of items which included ambulance, beds, nose masks etcetera today 23rd May to the health facility, but shockingly the government official failed to enforce the presidential directive on social distancing.

Persons who were present at the event relegated to the bin the covid-19 safety protocol and stood closely to each other to observe the presentation of the items.

It occurred as big shock to the media as they pondered over why government officials who were present at the event could not ensure a strict adherence to the directive of their Boss, His Excellency Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo Addo- President of Ghana.

  1. Enock Akonnor could have also assisted in the social distancing arrangement instead of blaming the Duputy Chief of Staff. We as Ghanians are to arrange ourselves to follow the social distancing when it comes to public gathering than blaming the organisers as Akonnor seems to be doing. It’s a shame.
