Covid-19; “FDA has failed Ghanaians”-Think Ghana Coalition

Founder and President for Think Ghana Coalition; a Ghana based non governmental organisation has tongue-lashed officials of Food and Drugs Authority.

Evangelist Isaac Osei-Wusu has chastised that the authority has failed to execute its mandate as in ensuring that the health of Ghanaians is protected.

He made this statement consequent to the influx of substandard nose masks which have gained access into the various markets.

He fingered that the authority instead of deploying task force to clamp down all fake manufuctuers of the product (nose masks) have assumed a relaxed posture.

“They are not enforcing any action to address the situation”, he noted.

“At their full glare, a number of inferior nose masks layered with one fabric are sold on the market to Ghanaians in the name of protecting them against the deadly covid-19”.

He strongly expressed disappointment over how FDA is portraying itself as a toothless bulldog which cannot bite.

Speaking to leakynews.net, he challenged officials to deliver on their mandate and set up requirements for the manufacturing of nose masks in Ghana.

He also counselled that FDA must see to it that only certified tailors are allowed to manufucture nose masks in Ghana.
